What a year! Congratulations Track & Field! At the championship our 7th grade boys team placed 8th out of eleven teams. Our girls team placed 9th out of twelve teams. This year has been the best so far! Personal records have been beat. Even some team records have been beat.
Congratulations on an amazing season this year! We have the Championship on TODAY at North Beach. In order to qualify track members must place in the top four at the sub-league track meet for their events. All of our track and field students grew this year. The coaches and staff are all very proud of each one of them.
This year we have one student, in the first time in Queets Clearwater Track history qualified in not one, not two, but all three of their events! Congratulations to Mason McGraw to making in to the Championship for discus, shot put and Javelin.
Our next track and field qualifier missed qualifying by a few inches for Javelin, but qualified for shot put and discus. Congrats to Xavier Carson.
Next up, both of our Lady Tigers qualified. Congratulations to Brooklyn Boome and Jeanne Ward. Booth qualified for discus. Brooklyn also qualified for shot put.

Here is our calendar for the month of May. We have an eventful month with Track and Field finals and state testing for third to eighth grade students. Please ensure your student is well rested for these long days.
On May 5th we honored the lives of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Persons (MMIW) by wearing our red shirts. This day is also known as, Red Dress Day. It calls attention to the disproportionate rates of violence against Indigenous women and Girls who go missing at six times the rate of non-Indigenous women and girls.
Way to go Track and Field! Next week we enter the final stretch of the season.
Tuesday we had a visitor! Big Mama arrived with a splash. Students got to see her and learn about our local Marine Sanctuary.

Last week our Track and Field team traveled to North Beach. Let's keep it going Tigers! This week they will travel to South Bend on May 6th.

Track and Field is an ever growing sport for our Tigers family. In order to honor our current and past Tiger's we are celebrating our team records for both boys and girls!
